do you have to take a math class if you want to major in business?
if you do what kind? and is it hard? i hate math and i’m currently a senior in high school and somehow i passed all my math classes, so i was wondering if you need to take any kind of math classes? and if so are they hard?, also what kind of jobs can you get when majoring in business?
Where to start? Well first, there is almost no math in accounting. Accounting uses arithmetic and is the least mathematical of business fields. Economics uses a lot of math but is not itself math. You will need to get through at least calculus I and many colleges will require calculus II. You will typically need two semesters of statistics. Your lowest math requirements will be in accounting and marketing. Your greatest math requirements will be economics and finance. There are probably more jobs in business than in any other field.
If you are talking community college, there are business fields that require less math. Again, marketing and accounting will require the least math. If you are in a non-transfer degree you will not be required to take calculus. Jobs are still fairly plentiful but your pay may be less than for those with bachelors degrees.
